HOW DOES HUMIDITY AFFECT MY PIANO ?

Hong Kong humid weather, bad for the qualities of the piano. In cases of heavy temperature or humidity fluctuation (and only in cases where such a system is necessary), humidity control systems may help to maintain the piano’s tuning stability.

WHERE SHOULD I LOCATE MY PIANO ?

Avoid put the piano in direct sunlight and strong sunlight may result in piano paint fading or deformation of shells. When you place the piano should keep a little distance from walls, not only can be moisture-proof, also help for audio reflection.

AVOID PLACING LIQUID CONTAINERS ON THE PIANO

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY PIANO FINISH ?

Pianos are fine furniture, and in this role they benefit from cleaning and polishing. For many piano finishes, dust is better removed by using a feather duster or a vacuum cleaner rather than a cloth, which minimizes the abrasive effect of the dust.

KEY MAINTENANCE

To keep the keyboard clean when not used the piano close the keyboard cover. If you want to clean the dirt on the keys, you can wipe with a slightly damp cloth.

REGULAR TUNING

Tuning at least two to three times a year. After moving it is best to tune, when the piano has other problems, should find piano tuner inspection or maintenance.
